Deadstride is a running and walking game. We do not collect any data about you. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

Everything the game records is stored only on your device:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.

Location

The game needs your location to place the zombies on the real streets around you and to follow you during a run. Your position is processed on your phone.

To draw the streets, the app downloads the street network for the area around you (about one kilometre) from public OpenStreetMap servers (overpass-api.de, operated by FOSSGIS e.V.). That request contains the coordinates of that area, as any map request does. It does not contain your name, an account or any identifier of yours, and we do not keep it. The downloaded streets are cached on your phone.

The map itself is displayed by Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy).

During a run, location keeps working when the screen is locked, so the chase continues in your pocket. It stops when the run ends.

Motion & Fitness

If you allow it, the app reads your step count from your iPhone's motion sensor to show it in your run statistics. It stays on your phone.

Photos

If you choose to save the video clip of a run, the app adds it to your photo library. It never reads your photos.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
